Modify Oulook Account

Setting Up Email Programs > Modify Outlook Account
Modify an existing email account on Microsoft Outlook

 Step 1
Start with "Microsoft Outlook" open on your desktop.
• Click on the "Tools" menu on the top menu bar

You should see a drop down menu similar to this.
• Click "E-mail Accounts"


 Step 2
You should now see a window similar to this.
• Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"

• Click "Next"


 Step 3
You should now see a window labeled "E-mail Accounts".
• Click on the email account that you want to modify

• Click "Change"


 Step 4
The next window should be labeled "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)".

In "User Information"...
• Enter your name as you would like it to appear in your emails
 
• Enter your email address

In "Logon Information"...
Enter your user name - this is your full email address

• Enter your password


In "Server Information"...
• Incoming mail server is: "mail2.chromemedia.net"
 
• Outgoing mail server is: "smtp10.bellnet.ca" if your internet provider is Sympatico OR "smtp.broadband.rogers.com" if your internet provider is Rogers 

• Click "Next"


 Step 5
Now you should see a "Congratulations" window.

• Click "Finish"

Continue if your internet provider is Rogers, otherwise you're done!


 Step 6
If your internet provider is Rogers.
• Click on the "Tools" menu on the top menu bar

You should see a drop down menu similar to this.
• Click "E-mail Accounts"


 Step 7
You should now see a window similar to this.
• Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"

• Click "Next"




 Step 8
You should now see a window labeled "E-mail Accounts".
• Click on the email account that you want to modify

• Click "Change"


 Step 9
The next window should be labeled "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)".

In "User Information"...
• Enter your name as you would like it to appear in your emails
 
• Enter your email address

In "Logon Information"...
Enter your user name - this is your full email address

• Enter your password


In "Server Information"...
• Incoming mail server is: "mail2.chromemedia.net"
 
• Outgoing mail server is: "smtp.broadband.rogers.com" if your internet provider is Rogers 

• Click "More Settings"


 Step 10
The "Internet E-mail Settings" window should appear.
• Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab

• Select the "Log on using" option

• Enter your Account name and Password (Provided by Rogers)

• Select "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)"

• Click "OK"


 Step 11
The next window should be labeled "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)".

• Click "Next"


 Step 12
Now you should see a "Congratulations" window.
• Click "Finish"

You're DONE!
